1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and vanilla bean seeds.
4. Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing until just combined. Fill each cupcake liner ⅔ full with batter.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting with buttercream.
